Your photos never leave your iPad. Everglow has no account, no servers, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. We, Eric Cirone Studios, never receive your photos, your location, or anything about how you use the app.
Your photos
With your permission, Everglow reads your photo library on your iPad through Apple’s Photos framework so it can show the albums you choose. Photos are displayed and processed entirely on the device. Smart Fill uses Apple’s on-device face and subject detection to decide how to crop each photo, and the crop results are stored only on your iPad.
You can grant full or limited access, or none at all. Without photo access, Everglow keeps working as a clock. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos.
Location and weather
Weather and sunrise and sunset times need to know roughly where you are. If you allow location access (only while the app is in use), Everglow uses your approximate location for this. You can type in a city instead and never grant location access.
Weather comes from Apple Weather (WeatherKit). Those requests go directly to Apple and contain an approximate location and no personal information. Everglow keeps no copy. Weather is only requested during the trial or with Everglow Pro, and only when weather is shown.
Photo details
When the optional photo details are on, Everglow shows where a photo was taken. To turn a photo’s coordinates into a city name, it asks Apple’s geocoding service, sending only the coordinates, never the photo. Results are cached on your iPad.
Follow Room Light
This optional setting watches only your iPad’s screen brightness, which iPadOS adjusts with Auto-Brightness. Everglow does not use the camera or read the ambient light sensor.
Purchases
The 7-day trial and Everglow Pro are in-app purchases handled by Apple through the App Store. Everglow checks your purchase status on your iPad using StoreKit. We never see your Apple ID, name, or payment details.
Your settings
Your albums, preferences, and caches are stored locally on your iPad. Deleting Everglow deletes them.

This website
Everything above is about the Everglow app. This website works a little differently.
To understand how many people visit and which pages they read, the site uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service. It counts visits in aggregate, such as the page viewed, the referring site, the browser and device type, and the country. Umami doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t store your IP address, doesn’t collect personal information, and doesn’t follow you across other sites.
If you contact us through the support page, your name, email address, and message are delivered to us by email through our email provider, Resend. We use them only to reply to you, and you can ask us to delete your messages at any time.
Children
Everglow is rated 4+ and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version here and update the date above.
